In First Black Women Judges, Retired Judge Angela Carol Robinson, highlights the lives, careers and accomplishments of Judges, Jane Matilda Bolin, Juanita Kidd Stout and Constance Baker Motley.  


These three pioneering women judges opened the doors of opportunity for women lawyers and lawyers of color. They were each also life-long champions for social and legal justice. 


Bolin, Stout and Motley overcame struggles, prejudice and roadblocks to make enduring contributions to the American legal system.
